Kitty Keeper
An Android app for keeping track of a shared kitty: the pot of money a group puts in for a trip, a shared house or a night out. It records who put in what and what was spent, splits the costs, and works out who owes whom at the end.

What it does
- Money in. Record what everyone adds to the kitty, and who is holding the cash.
- Expenses. Log what was bought, how much it cost and who paid: the kitty or someone personally. Split it equally, by shares (two shares for the couple, one for everyone else) or by exact amounts.
- Balances. See what’s left in the kitty, what’s been spent, and who is ahead or behind, as you go.
- Settle up. When it’s over, Kitty Keeper works out the fewest payments that square everyone up, including handing back leftover kitty cash, and you can share the result with the group.
- Share a kitty. Invite the others with a link, so everyone adds their own entries from their own phone and sees the same numbers.
- Your devices. Add a tablet or a new phone by scanning a QR code, and keep a recovery code in case you lose them all.
Private by design
There’s no sign-up, no email, no ads and no tracking. Kitties live on your phone and work offline. When you share one, it’s end-to-end encrypted: names, amounts and notes are locked with a key that only the people in the kitty have, so not even we can read them. You can download a copy of everything our server holds about you, or delete it, from inside the app at any time.

Free and Premium
The free app gives you up to 2 open kitties of your own, lets you join any number of kitties other people share with you, and does all the splitting and settling up.
Premium is a yearly subscription through Google Play. It gives you unlimited open kitties, lets you share your kitties (everyone in them syncs for free), and lets you use Kitty Keeper on more than one device.
